X-Series from 3
3G mobile provider 3 have announced a very exciting new product that will launch here in the UK this December - Its called X-Series.
A mobile experience for a broadband world
3 have got together some of the big boys of the internet to give you a truly mobile internet experience:
- Skype
- Yahoo
- Orb
- Sling
- eBay
- MSN Messenger
All of these, make up a stunning array of servies that 3 mobile users will be able to use on their mobiles.
Free phone calls to Skype users. Free instant messaging to your buddies. Unlimited search and internet surfing. Your TV on the move. Your PC on your mobile. Your life where you go.
Being able to watch your own TV channels on your mobile?, free chatting using Skype and getting access to your own music, pictures and video all from your handset - this really is a huge stepforward in the road to 3G becoming more than just a video-calling gimmick.
Why should you pay per minute, per message, per click, per megabit? In the real world, you buy your PC, pay for broadband and that’s it. Our principle is simple “ X-Series customers will only pay a flat access fee on top of their basic subscription and then what’s free to use on the internet should be free to use on mobile broadband (subject to fair usage and international roaming conditions, of course).
It’s great to see such innovation in the mobile industy, and what I have already seen having become a 3 customer recently they are already leading the way…
X-Serve will launch in the UK in December, and will then rollout across the world to other 3 networks early 2007.
