Download! Folder: New Additions
There are a couple new application additions in the Download! folder; The first is Mobipocket which bizarrely can be found under the Amazon sub-folder.
For those of you who don’t know Mobipocket is a mobile application that enables you to read eBooks (electronic versions of books), eNews and eDocs (converted documents) on your smartphone. You will need to first set-up an account at mobipocket.com before you can purchase and download material. It’s a great tool for you bookworms out there!
Secondly, ScanR can be found under ServicesUK. This nifty little app turns your phone into a scanner, copier and fax. Simpy take a picture of a whiteboard or a document, send it to ScanR using the application, and they will turn it into an electronic document for you.
I did have a play with this last year on my N73 when it first launched, it would seem that the service is no longer free which is a shame, although you can have a free 14 day trial. It’s worth having a play with.

Just a quick note: Mobipocket is under the Amazon folder because Amazon acquired Mobipocket a while ago. The rumor surrounding that is Amazon may start selling Mobipocket-formatted e-books on their site in conjunction with their own e-ink e-book reader (to compete with Sony’s Reader device and their own e-book store?).
I reached your site searching for apps I should install onto my new N95. I thought I’d let you know about the Mobipocket-Amazon connection.
Thanks for the info Jezlyn
